This Fired Equipment course delivers a comprehensive understanding of fired equipment—covering combustion theory, burner design, heat transfer (including two-phase flow), flue gas handling, and control and safeguarding systems. Participants also learn boiler and heat recovery unit applications, emission reduction techniques, tube inspection, failure mechanisms, and maintenance best practices. Through practical case studies and exercises, the course empowers teams to optimize efficiency, prevent failures, and transition to low-carbon technologies like electrification and carbon capture.
This Petrogenium course can be tailored for awareness/inexperienced staff, for intermediate and for experienced personnel. Furthermore the course can be customized for a specific refinery, plant or unit. The option for post-course consultancy/help-desk support is also available.
Participants may include: operational staff and (process) engineers on all levels working on fired equipment in distillation units, process units, utilities, treatment units etc.
