Niall has over ten years’ experience in leading M&A transactions in the energy sector across Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas. He has led transactions ranging from $100 million to $20 billion in size, spanning acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures and infrastructure investments. He has successfully developed business relationships and concluded negotiations with CEOs of public listed companies, owners and Managing Directors of private companies, financial institutions and governmental entities. Niall led Shell’s Downstream M&A organisation in Europe, the Middle East and India and its Renewables M&A organisation in the Americas, before becoming global senior deal lead responsible for the company’s largest and most complex M&A transactions. Having experienced the value of multi-disciplinary teams in M&A, Niall has a track record of building high-performing deal teams combining in-house staff, financial advisers, legal counsel and other professional advisers.
Prior to his M&A career Niall held leadership roles in operations management (oil refining and chemicals manufacturing), fuels supply chains, biofuels and corporate strategy.
