Kaushik has over 39 years of experience in process engineering and technology licensing. His areas of expertise cover wide spectrum of Distillation and Separation including process & equipment design, research & development, operational support, troubleshooting, technology marketing & licensing. He retired from Shell in 2023 after 16 plus years of illustrious service. He led the Distillation CoE team to deliver a large number of grassroots and revamp projects for Shell, Shell-JV and third parties. He was Shell’s senior technical leader and Technical Authority (TA) overseeing the knowledge management and applications of Shell distillation and separation technologies. Prior to joining Shell in 2006, he worked in Engineers India Limited (EIL) for 18 years in different capacities, primarily in the areas of distillation technology. He was responsible for the development of different types of column internals and their commercial applications. Immediately after his graduation in 1984, he joined Hindustan Fertilizer Corporation as shift engineer and was associated with the operation and technical services of the Ammonia plant based on steam reforming of naphtha.
