Godfried spent his whole career in Shell as a process technical expert. After 37 years of services he retired in 2014. He spent more than 30 years in Lube Oil Manufacturing.
Next to Lube Oil Manufacturing Godfried was during 20 years Shell’s focal point for the Sulfolane Extraction Process for the production of Benzene, Toluene and Xylene.
Godfried spent about 10 years in Refineries as a Process Technologist (Germany, Indonesia and The Netherlands), responsibe for Lube Oil Complexes, Reforming, Crude Distillation, Hydrotreating/Hydrocracking, Visbreaking, Bitumen Blowing & Blending, Hydrocarbon Solvents and Claus & SCOT. The remaining 27 years of his career were spent in Shell’s Central Offices in The Hague and Amsterdam (about 22 years Lube Oi Manufacturing and 5 years in Sulphur Treating Processes like Claus, SCOT, Gasoil – and Kero Merox treatment).
Since his retirement in 2014 Godfried has worked as a Lube Oil Manufacturing consultant.
