Eugen is a very passionate technical leader and world-class process engineer with more than 40 years’ international hands-on experience in Refinery Process Technologies and Refinery Operations. In the world of refining he is in particular recognized as a world-class expert in the Distillation Technologies.

Eugen held a variety of leading positions in Refineries and Shell’s Technical head office in the areas of Distillation and Thermal Conversion Technology and Technical and Operational Management. Besides these technical roles he has extensive experience in being bottom line responsible for the HSE performance a country in that Shell operated.

After leaving Shell in 2006, Eugen worked successfully as an independent industry expert in the field of Distillation and Refinery Technology support. He joined Petrogenium in 2017 as Principal Consultant Refinery Technologies/Primary Distillation.

He is an expert user of various Distillation Process Simulation & Pinch Analysis and Process Integration tools.

Besides his very deep technical and operational expertise, Eugen understands very well the cultural impact of outstanding services delivery. Working in multicultural organisations and motivating, guiding, and coaching people to deliver a world-class performance is one of his major strengths. He worked for many customers in Europe, the Middle and in the Far East.
