Eric is an accomplished electrical engineer with over 35 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry. Throughout his extensive career, he has cultivated a broad and deep skill set that encompasses every facet of project execution, plant operations, and electrical safety. His expertise covers the complete project lifecycle, including front-end planning, construction, execution, and commissioning. Eric has played an instrumental role in supporting both downstream and upstream facilities, managing maintenance operations, providing turnaround (T/A) support, and leading reliability improvement initiatives.
Eric has served as a Shell Subject Matter Expert and Technical Authority, focusing on power system modelling, switchgear, project execution, startup and commissioning operations. His leadership includes authoring four electrical Design Engineering Practices (DEPs) related to medium voltage (MV) and low voltage (LV) switchgear, E-houses, and vendor-supplied skids, demonstrating his technical expertise and commitment to industry standards.
Eric’s exceptional performance has been recognized with reliability awards from LyondellBasell. He has also been nominated by Shell for the 2018 HENAAC (Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Award) and has received multiple performance awards from Shell for his dedication to excellence, value, and safety across various projects. Additionally, he is credited as a co-inventor on two Shell patents for his contributions to advancements in high-temperature measurement technologies for wells.
