The P200 course builds on the P100 Field Production Operations course, extending participants’ capability from operational awareness to production system ownership.

It equips professionals with the knowledge and practical methods required to plan, coordinate, and execute hydrocarbon production effectively.

From daily forecasts to monthly reconciliation, P200 connects field operations to business performance through structured workflows and decision-making grounded in real operational experience.

Participants

This Petrogenium course is designed for:

  • Planning staff
  • Programming staff
  • Hydrocarbon allocation engineers, and those involved in production accounting systems
  • Staff preparing for production coordination or supervisory roles

Participants should have completed P100 or have equivalent field experience.

The P200 course is designed to:

  • Strengthen hydrocarbon accounting and measurement integrity
  • Improve production tracking, loss analysis, and production visibility
  • Enhance coordination between field, technical, and commercial functions

  • Constraint management and deferment analysis
  • Production programming and short-term scheduling
  • Measurement, allocation, and reconciliation methods

Introduction of candidates and facilitator, setting course expectations and timelines.

Course content is tailored to participant roles and operating context.

  1. Online Assignments

Six assignments over ten weeks, selected based on individual needs.

Assignments include structured interviews with subject matter experts.

Individual feedback is provided by the course coordinator.

  1. Face-to-Face Workshop

A five-day facilitated workshop.

Includes interactive learning sessions, group activities, and candidate teach-backs.

Content delivery is followed by discussions based on candidates’ online work, maximising integration of learning into the business.

  1. Field Impact Project (Optional)

A small, practical improvement project aligned with course themes and approved by the line manager. Typically completed within six months and presented to local management. Ongoing support is provided throughout.
